Antique French Christofle Silverplate Carving Set, c. 1844-1862

Christofle carving set comprising a carving knife and three-tine carving fork. Reeded silverplate handles bear the oval CC hallmark with scales and bee, dating to 1844–1862 — the earliest Christofle silverplate mark, from the first generation of production following Charles Christofle’s 1842 electroplating patent. Blades stamped Christofle with INOX quatrefoil mark; stainless replacement blades, standard practice for French carving sets of this period.
